In 1969 the prominent artist Jean Charlot continued a series of generous donations of artwork for St. Catherine parish that began with stations of the cross frescos for St. Sylvester church in 1956 and stations of the cross ceramic tiles and the Compassionate Christ fresco for St. Catherine church in 1958. For St. William church he created the 7-1/2 ft high ceramic statue of the Sacred Heart that hangs over the entrance to the church along with 14 ceramic tiles depicting the stations of the cross for St. William Church.
